Scrambled Brain and a Side of Melancholy?

Hello everyone!! Oh how I missed this place! Life definitely got a hold of me and almost dragged me down! But in true fighter form, I kicked it in the shins and ran! Hahaha.... yeah.

The past few weeks were rough, and still are. Between work, friends, family, and dare I say- love life? It all wore down on me. My friends decided to take a leave of absence, along with "him". I just don't get it. Being the astrological freak that I am, I blame it on their signs. See all of my close friends and "him", are Aquarius'; and if you know an Aquarius, then you know that they have this tendency to just disappear with the wind. But like all good ones, they come back in like a cool breeze (if you give them their freedom).

Here's where my story got/gets hard.

I came clean with him about how I feel- sort of. I mean, I told him he meant a lot to me and that I was afraid to tell him how I felt because of fear that he would run away (like he has done in the past) and he told me that he felt the same way and that maybe he would have run in the past but not anymore because he feeling for me changed... I should be happy with that right? WRONG. Well, I was happy that he said that but I wasn't happy that I didn't hear from him for over a week following that conversation! It was like he fell off the face of the Earth! I texted him and got nothing. So that made me genuinely concerned about him. FINALLY on Saturday I hear from him via text, which can get quite tricky when trying to determine tone might I add. Turns out he went "away" for the week (no, not to jail), but he didn't have access to a phone.

Great. So he had like 4 text messages from me asking if he was alive, mad, etc. He was real short with me. Here's the convo from Saturday, verbatim (so what, I spell funny when I text):

Me: hey so I'm not taking my exam; sorry if I said something outta line last time; hope ur ok; and I miss u!

Him: thats great I was _____ just got out yesterday

Me: I had a feeling something happened. U ok? Sorry for all the messages, I was just worried

Him: I'm great thank you

What the eff?! I left that at that. He was probably in no mood to talk or hear anything so I let him be. I did say this to him last night,

"Babe I know u know this but I'm always here for u...if u need a talk, ass woopin, lay, shoulder, whatevs. I hate not talkin to u. There's a "his name" shaped void in my world"

Yeah yeah, I know, I'm gonna let him be. But I had to say my last piece. It kills me to let him pull away, even if it's temporarily because I worked so hard to get to where we were. Maybe he'll come back with a better perception of us, but I must also be prepared for him to walk away. Ugh!!! I keep thinking, what did I do wrong? I know it's not all me because he is going through his own personal trials and tribulations, but really- how can I make things better? All I can do and have been doing is relying on faith. That's all I can do. What do you think? Is he blatantly gone or am I being an emotional female?

Then there's work. My manager from hell! I have been busting my toocus to get a much needed spectacular review, but you know when you feel someone just has it out for you? She's a sh*tty manager, her work is behind, she lies about numbers (we're in finance and that's a bad move on her part), she's a lier, and she talks about us (her "team" of 3) behind our backs! Well, she makes snide remarks. For instance, her issue with me is my time....lord DO NOT get me started!! My company has never been a stickler for the petty sh*t like this, they are all about "work-life balance". Apparently this b*tch doesn't get it. So I've been coming in on time and working over time (gotta pay these mounting bills!) but I know because I took today off, she'll have some things to say- not to my face of course.

Oh well, she'll get what's coming to her soon enough. That dumbass.

On a positive note, I took today off to take care of a long/ expired to do list!! I have sooo much to do that can only be handled during business hours. So I'm off to get'er done!

So They Say

Some loving messages for you lovely folk...

“No, this trick won't work...How on earth are you ever going to explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love?"
-Albert Einstein

“Deep in my heart I'm concealing things that I'm longing to say. Scared to confess what I'm feeling - frightened you'll slip away.”
-Madonna (Evita)

“Histories are more full of examples of the fidelity of dogs than of friends.”
-Alexander Pope

Ever have one of those days where you are just a ball of love?! Must be Louie Armstrong. I'll just play some Godfather on the Wii and get over the mushies.

Ciao,

See- I swear I'm Psychic!! I just received word (and I do stress the 'just') that my former roommate Steven and his lovely woman are engaged!!!

♥Congrats love birds!♥

P.S. The Giants suck! Let's go Packers!!

Rain Rain RAIN!!!

Yeah. If only rain were so glamorous!! Thank you hurricane Danny (figures they'd give this hurricane a douche name) for your torrent of torture!

I'd love to go frolic outside but unfortunately Danny's induced downpour will cause me to sit at home and stuff my face with cupcakes all day.
I remember back in the day when a little deluge wouldn't stop me from going outside. In fact, I had several of those 'dancing in the rain' movie moments...of course they were with friends and not a hot love interest. Nonetheless, it was refreshing.

However, as the years have rallied, I have become concerned with things such as getting a cold, pneumonia, bronchitis, encephalitis, staphylococcus aureus (hey you can totally get this from foreign bacteria being washed into your shoe where a minor cut awaits the infestation!), etc. I can go on with this list but I think you get my point.

As adults we worry too much! From all my days romping in the rain I think the worst ailment I came down with was a runny nose. Seriously, a little spout of mucous never hurt anyone.

We should all just relax and live a little!

So I just wrote this whole spiel about not worrying and dancing in the rain and...I will not go out and prance in the rain. Nope, that would ruin my hair hahaha.

Have a wonderful day and stay dry!...or not.

Inglorious Bastards

So I went to see the Inglorious Bastards movie on Friday and I loved it!! Brad Pitt was hilarious.

The film was historically inaccurate but I bet it would have been awesome if it was.

Good lord Brad Pitt's hot! Sorry ladies (or fellas if that's your thing)- there were no topless Brad Pitt scenes. Just him "killin Nazi's".

Go check it out if you're itchin for a funny/awesome Tarantino flick.

More Decorating Ideas!

I am REALLY loving these ideas!! Wow, I'm such a girl! However, I think idea #1 would cause a fire in my apartment- "that would be no good" (just quoted Toula's mom).

My Achy Breaky Heart- What I Wish For Us

I can't believe that after all this time, I am still head over heels for you.

I wish I was brave enough to tell you to your face, but since I am a coward I will hide behind my blog walls.

I have always loved you. You may have put me through some of the craziest moments of my life. Despite our unstable past, I am still full of love for you and filled with hope.

I am not sure what I'm hopeful for since I don't wish to be your "girlfriend". I guess all I want is to know that you're there and that you love me too.

I want to grow with you. I want to watch baseball with you. I want you to teach me how to play football. I want to bring you to my fathers house and watch how well you two would get along. I would love nothing more than to watch you get your sh*t together as I get mine together too. I want to dream of a future with you.

But. I wish you'd grow up and be a man sometimes. I want you to open up to me and make me open up to you. I want these games to end and for you to be the only person in my life. I want to hang out with you and do things other than sit in my apartment or at your house.

I pray that you ended your dirty habits. I also pray that we never go back to how we used to be. I pray that this doesn't end with my heart broken...again. I watched you walk away once and I never want to feel that again.

It's so weird how I know there's someone great out there for me. I just don't think I've met him yet...

However, before I meet him; I feel like you and I have unfinished business.

For now, you are my love.

iPhone of Doom

I'm sure it's no secret that AT&T sucks- wanted to toss that in here but, that's not what I'm writing about. I'm writing about how I was ready for work ON TIME and my iPhone decided to crash on me! I was out of the office yesterday and left early the day before, thanks to an awesome migraine. Not really awesome... Anyway. I've been waiting for this restore sh*t for over an hour. I better not get canned or reprimanded or else- I'm comin' after you Apple!!

I feel like this damn skeleton. I'm just sitting here in my cute work attire waiting and working from home. It's not normal to be this paranoid over a job is it? No wonder I have migraines.

Ok, I'm gonna go and punch my phone in the faceplate.

Hamster on a Piano

Last post of the day I swear! I saw this video on another blog and I'm addicted- no seriously, I've re-played this like 6 times in the past ten minutes. I need help.

So cute!!

If this doesn't spread fuzziness and cheer then I don't know what will.

Goodnight!!

Lady Gaga Paparazzi Video

Great album first of all. Secondly, Alexander Skarsgård aka Eric Northman of True Blood and son of Stellan Skarsgård, is in the video! Good God he's gorgeous! Peep the aggressive kisser in the beginning that flings GaGa over the balcony. Fortunately for her, her nose saves her fall in the video (not really but that's my theory).

Maybe you'll recognize Alexander as 'Meekus' from Zoolander?

True Blood

  • Hot men- check
  • Hot women- check
  • Drugs- check (not that I "console" it) PA-POW threw in an Entourage reference for ya
  • Drama- check -not to be mistaken for Johnny Drama people
  • Evil creatures & scary bitches- check
  • Sex- double check

Thank you HBO for creating yet another series that I am completely hooked on. For those of you who haven't seen the show, please do immediately. For those of you who have, let's discuss.

Ok, so maybe I cheated and read some of the Sookie Stackhouse series novels and kind of know what's going to happen but I still find myself at the edge of my seat every Sunday (and by reading some I mean skimming through the book and finding what happens next). If you've read the book then you'll know that some of the characters like Tara are additions and according to the book, Lafayette was supposed to die (thank God that sassy bitch is still alive!)

Anywho, I feel so bad for Jessica who will remain a virgin for all of eternity...ouch!

Might I just add that Godric is hot! A bit short but hot! Eric- hot, young Obama aka 'Eggs'- hot, Bill Compton...funny hair, Jason Stackhouse- hot.

For a list of characters, go here.

I never thought I'd get so emotionally involved with another show since the Sopranos! I'll admit it, I had a crush on Tony. Back to True Blood. I really can't stand Lorena and Maryann. Poor Eggs and Tara ate Daphne's heart- gross, and Lorena reminds me of an ex of an ex (crazy skank). I love how Godric embarassed her! As if that awful face of hers wasn't embarassing enough, Sookie almost throws down with her!! I'm curious as to why Eric wants Lafayette selling V? Is it a trap to catch all V users?

I can't wait for next week!

Here's what we can expect this season:

Childhood Nostalgia

Happy Flippin Saturday!

Remember those days as a youngster when we were so easily entertained? I miss those day.

A typical Saturday involved:

  • Waking up at 8 A.M. to watch Saturday morning cartoons -Saturday morning cartoons now suck
  • Walk over to my friends house and see if they wanna play -friends now live driving distance and mostly sleep past 11 A.M, I also have way too many expenses to just go out and drive aimlessly. People also require phone calls before arrival
  • Play some entertaining games like doctor, cops and robbers, tag, hide & seek, softball, etc -my friends and I now spend Saturday mornings running errands. So these fun games have been replaced with "fun" trips to the farmers market, drug store, and mall
  • Eat a delicious lunch between noon and 2, meal courtesy of my parents or friends parents -now meal is courtesy of myself. Bummer.
  • Play some more -usually I get tired of running around by mid afternoon
  • The rest of the day just goes by, worry free and filled with adventures -I now need plans in advance, money to pay for "fun activities", and the whole worry free thing just doesn't work when you grow up. Thoughts of bills and adult drama plague our minds.
If only for just a day I could go back in time and relive my childhood. This is why it is said to try and see the simplicities of life through the eyes of a child (something like that).

Well blogguette, I need to shower because this day is too
BEAUTIFUL to be wasted indoors!

Happy Friday!

Not too certain about what's going on in this picture, but I thought it semi-illustrated how I am feeling.

It's Friday and I'm stuck inside on this GORGEOUS day!! No fair, waaaa. I seriously want to frolic outside with my dog. Screw this job! It's like a nice spring day out there but I'm stuck inside staring at excel spreadsheets all day. Woe is me. Oh well, I hope my manager leaves early. That'll at least bring some of that sunshine inside!

To everyone else who has the great privilege of prancing outside today- enjoy!
